Melanie Windle

Melanie Windle (BFA, MFA) is an award-winning producer, mentor, and media entrepreneur. She currently serves as Executive Producer for Green Spark Group's premiere event, the Sustainable Production Forum (SPF).

Melanie also currently serves as Director of Industry Programming at Whistler Film Festival.  Prior to that she led the charge on Canadian Screen Week’s 5-day industry conference The Members Lounge, and ran the Canadian Academy Director’s Program for Women. She produced the Carmilla Series, and The Carmilla Movie, garnering over 100 millions views on YouTube, and an engaged worldwide fandom, whilst producing with Shaftesbury. Her indie feature DIRTY SINGLES, written and directed by Alex Pugsley, was nominated for Best Canadian Film at the Vancouver International Festival, and garnered Lauren Ash (SUPERSTORE) and Ennis Esmer (BLINDSPOT) Best Performance wins at the Canadian Comedy Awards.

Melanie was invited to join the inaugural cohort of the Banff2020 Spark Accelerator for Women in the Business of Media and is an alumna of the Canadian Film Centre’s Cineplex Film Program – Producers’ Lab and the Short Dramatic Film Program.

Melanie received the Sustainability Production in Entertainment Certification (SPEC) in 2024.
